Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet shares his journey from Burgundy to Napa, highlighting the deep connections between music and wine. Growing up in a family steeped in music and surrounded by the vineyards of Burgundy, Thibaudet's passion for wine developed early on. Now, as an artistic advisor for the Festival Napa Valley, he blends his love for both worlds. At this year’s festival, he’ll celebrate Gershwin's centenary with a special concert, while the Arts for All Gala, headlined by Lionel Richie, showcases the intersection of artistry and philanthropy. About us
Founded in 1976, Wine Spectator is the world’s most influential source of wine information, both in print and on the Internet. Wine Spectator editors review more than 11,000 wines each year in blind tastings, and each issue contains from 400 to more than 600 wine reviews with detailed tasting notes and analysis. The magazine sets stringent standards for itself and relies on the proven abilities and experiences of its editors as tasters and critics. WineSpectator.com, launched in October 1996, features more than 400,000 wine ratings, tasting reports, news and features, editors' blogs, videos and other original content you won't find anywhere else. In 1981, Wine Spectator launched its Restaurant Awards program, which recognizes restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers. The program reviews restaurant wine lists on three levels: the Award of Excellence, with 2,453 current winners; the Best of Award of Excellence, with 1,215 current winners; and the Grand Award, with 91 current winners. Winners are located in all 50 states and over 75 countries. For more information, please visit www.winespectator.com or follow @WineSpectator on Twitter and Instagram.

For restaurants in New York City, June typically marks the start of the slow season when locals leave for cooler pastures. Yet for HAGS—often described as the city’s first “queer fine-dining” restaurant—it’s a month of celebrating both LGBTQ+ Pride and two years of successful operation. 🌈 Owner and wine director Camille Lindsley—who opened HAGS in 2022 with her partner, chef Telly Justice—brings a distinctive perspective to the wine program. The wine list at HAGS spotlights stellar producers from Champagne, Burgundy and Bordeaux while also highlighting lesser-known winemakers and regions like Spain's Bierzo, France's Jura and California’s Los Olivos. There’s even a special section dedicated to queer winemakers. 🍷 Read more about Camille Lindsley, her early lessons in tasting, the ongoing discussions surrounding queer food, her favorite places to drink wine, and more at the link below: https://lnkd.in/e-gurV7M #wine #winespectator #pridemonth #hagsnyc
