How can you create a team that is open to change?
Encourage failure! Change may not always work, but trying new, adapting and being iterative can lead to process improvement, better results and most importantly, ideas that win. Teams may not always get it right immediately, but change can lead to great things.

How can you build a positive relationship with your boss when managing deadlines?
Be solutions oriented. A good boss will have hired you because they want to know what you think, what your recommend and even learn from your unique experience. While it’s ok to ask for help solving a problem, if you are able to present solutions, especially as it relates to looming deadlines, they will appreciate that you put extra thought into your time management and will be able to better react to any pressure that you might be facing. With that also comes empowerment to say “no,” but it should come with a recommendation on how to get the job done.

How can you make the most of your first year in a Content Strategy career?
Be curious! Content strategies should be iterative based on trending topics, social conversation groundswell, and most importantly target audience interests. Learn how to mine interesting insights from online conversations and ask your teams how you can learn more about the consumers who will be on the receiving end of your messaging. That can help create a thoughtful approach to content creation while ensuring a meaningful output. And don’t forget to stay organized with a thorough editorial calendar! 🖊️ 📑

How can you stay ahead in a constantly evolving media landscape?
As the media industry consistently evolves, it's imperative to never forget the power of a compelling story. AI poses a threat to future content generation in media, making it difficult to know what is real, what is not, and what is even original. But continued thoughtful and creative story telling in media will be a way to ensure brands and companies share what is unique in a potential increasingly sea of sameness. To drive creative story telling, consider a range of emotions to integrate within content and think through how that effects tone, whether you're creating a short ad or long form blog article to motivate action on behalf of your audiences and targets. Brands and companies that continue to cultivate creativity in media will win.
