Hamilton Southeastern Schools received a one-time, four-year grant from the Lilly Endowment of a little more than $2.1 million as part of the Endowment's Comprehensive Counseling Initiative for Indiana K-12 students. The grant includes elements to boost social-emotional learning, academic advising and college and career readiness for HSE students. The Hamilton County Leadership Academy (HCLA) offers participants a unique way to meet and get to know key leaders in our community. Building relationships is an invaluable part of the Leadership Academy experience, and the year-long programs included educational curriculum coupled with a meaningful service project.

Monthly, I represent the City of Fishers delivering meals to clients located in Fishers and surrounding communities.

Appointed by the City of Fishers, I serve on the Board of the Fishers Freedom Festival. The nonprofit organization is most commonly known for their annual Fishers Freedom Festival located in Fishers, Indiana. The festival is almost 30 years old and kicks off Fourth of July celebrations in the Fishers community. As the festival expands in the Nickel Plate District the partnership between businesses, community organizations and the City of Fishers is sure to strengthen in wonderful ways!

For my fifth consecutive year, I was included on a panel discussion at the IUPUI Department of Communication Studies Communication Conference to share my experiences as an undergraduate student and graduate student. Also, I was able to shed light on how my academic experiences enabled me to apply my education in real-world settings, thus leading me down my current career path.

The City of Fishers G.I.V.E. Committee represents a group of city employees that seek to make a difference by getting involved in our community. Each year, an organization is selected as the recipient of one year's worth of fundraising efforts. By fundraising at community-wide events, the G.I.V.E. Committee is able to help the organization not only benefit financially, but to also gain exposure in our community. The Public Relations Society of America, based in New York City, is the world's largest organization for public relations professionals. The Society has nearly 32,000 professional and student members. PRSA is organized into more than 100 Chapters nationwide. I am currently a participant in the Hoosier Chapter.

Hosted as a guest speaker at Purdue University to discuss small group communication in today's workforce to undergraduate students.

Volunteers to ring the Salvation Arm bell before Christmas to raise money for their Bed & Bread Campaign.
