The Board of Governors is the elected leadership body of the Georgetown University Alumni Association (GUAA), a 501(c)(3) organization that works closely with university leadership and the Board of Directors to provide support to the various Georgetown campuses, and is responsible for protecting and preserving the traditions of Georgetown alumni. Voted on by all alumni of the university, Governors are charged with establishing and reviewing policies and governing procedures regarding all GUAA business (e.g., alumni-student programming, strategic planning, investment decision-making, etc.) as well as serving as a channel for alumni engagement and feedback.

The Board of Governors aims to live the mission of the GUAA, which is to generate goodwill and support for the university and to foster a lifelong connection among alumni, our alma mater and the global Georgetown community. Additionally, the Governors strive to keep friends in touch with each other and with the university, and aim to create social, service, and career opportunities through Georgetown connections around the world.

I served two terms as an elected Governor (2005-2011), continued to served as a Senator once my terms ended from 2011 to 2018, and currently serving as an Appointed Governor. I am the chair of the Awards Committee and also serve on the Executive Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Board of Governors. Show less

Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP) was founded in 2004 and has served over 1,400 of Georgetown University students, most of whom were the first generation in their families to attend college. Currently, the GSP family provides programmatic support for over 650 undergraduates, ensuring that all of our students can access the resources and networks of support they need to thrive at Georgetown. Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP) was founded in 2004 and has served over 1,400 of Georgetown University students, most of whom were the first generation in their families to attend college. Currently, the GSP family provides programmatic support for over 650 undergraduates, ensuring that all of our students can access the resources and networks of support they need to thrive at Georgetown. As a GSP Scholarship Chair, I serve as regional point of contact for all incoming and current GSP students from Chicago and connect fellow alumni interested in GSP's mission to opportunities to become more involved. As a mentor, I engage with students through face-to-face interactions, financial support, invitations to events, identify or create job connections as well as networking opportunities. Show less

Hoyas Unlimited was established in 1970 as an organization consisting of dedicated volunteers and staff whose mission is to support excellence across all of Georgetown's 29 intercollegiate athletic programs. It is the annual fundraising arm of Georgetown Athletics.

In addition to raising awareness and funds for Georgetown Athletics, I also provide mentorship and career guidance /development to current student and alumni athletes.

I am currently serving as Communications Chair for Georgetown University's Undergraduate Class of 1991 and am tasked with outreach and messaging classmates regarding reunion, local events and ways to engage. As a Class Ambassador, I engaged over 300 class alumni and raised the high number of new donors for our 25th Class reunion. As a Reunion Planning Committee Member, I planned and hosted/sponsored pre-reunion events and engaged in classmate outreach for 20th and 25th Class reunions.

The Alumni Admissions Program (AAP) is a worldwide alumni volunteer organization that coordinates and conducts the interview process for first-year and transfer applicants to Georgetown University. Over 6,000 alumni strong, the AAP interviews the vast majority of applicants. The Admissions Office relies on alumni interviewers for the personal interview with applicants.

The WFF works to improve the lives of children in Chicago by raising funds and awareness for its children's programs. The WFF acts as an advocate for children in the Chicago community, inspiring others to join them in their mission of giving children the resources they need to succeed.
