Organized the Girl Scouts Science Throwdown every semester through a partnership between the IEEE UTA student chapter & Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains chapter. The purpose was to familiarize girls with opportunities offered through STEM fields.
Each of these events attracted an average of 70-100 young girl scouts, with a peak attendance of 120 in Spring 2015. The young ladies are exposed to various STEM fields through workshops.
