“Peggy joined my team as the Training Manager of an eight member team of Instructional Designers and Training Specialists. Her leadership style promotes teamwork and collaboration with any group she manages, both within an organizational structure as well as many matrix reporting setups. Her experience and expertise in the training arena lends itself to an innate coaching/mentoring approach to leadership where those that report to her are developed and supported consistently which results in exceptional outputs and cohesive collaboration within her team. Peggy is a very effective project manager and is very detail oriented so as to ensure tasks are completed on time. She continually met her timelines as well as was a key determinate in identifying when upstream groups that had handoffs her team required to complete their work were in jeopardy of meeting their timelines. Her agility to be creative was contingent on this skill. The loyalty her team has for her speaks volumes to her effective people management skills. Her mentoring abilities are impressive as she does not shy away from providing feedback, especially when it was about performance issues. There was one team member in particular who had been developing some bad habits that she had to address on numerous occasions. At one point he said and I quote: “You are the best manager I’ve ever had” – which I think is testament to her effectiveness! ”
