The Role:

As an Accounting Advisor, you will be instrumental in helping new clients achieve their financial objectives while building long-lasting relationships. This role collaborates with both the Client Onboarding and Growth Teams.

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish trust and credibility with potential clients by showcasing your accounting expertise during financial pre-assessments for potential For Profit and Nonprofit clients. You will be analyzing income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and the overall financial health of their organizations
• Effectively communicate tailored solutions that Breakwater can provide to address prospective clients’ specific needs and support their subsequent onboarding
• Thoroughly prepare for advisory meetings with prospective clients and maintain stellar notes of all interactions within our CRM system (Hubspot)
• Provide accounting support to the Onboarding Team and step into manager-level work

• You possess an Accounting Degree (Bachelors or higher) and at least 5 years of related experience with a mix of small to medium businesses and nonprofit organizations
• You know your way around balance sheets and reviewing financials like the back of your hand
• You are a QuickBooks Online (QBO) whiz with experience utilizing the system within the last 5 years
• You are resourceful in coming up with solutions and have a knack for explaining complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable fashion
• You love helping people and being a part of a team that supports each other

• A base salary of $70,000-85,000
