About The Opportunity
We are looking for a tech-savvy analytical thinker who brings positive energy and a good sense of humor to our growing team. The Senior Data Advisor role requires someone with the enthusiasm and aptitude for solving difficult problems and the ability to communicate technical information clearly & concisely. You should be a self-motivated person who enjoys working on teams but also succeeds when flying solo. You should also enjoy working with accounting data for the majority of your day.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare client-provided accounting data for import and integration into ClearGov platform
Map accounting data into categories for use in ClearGov products
Lead data discovery meetings to resolve questions and issues related to accounting data and financial information
Explain how client data and mapping categories flows into ClearGov products and how clients can change data settings to get the most out of our products
Contribute to the development and testing of our data onboarding tool
Make suggestions to improve quality assurance and team efficiency
Provide support to other data team members in troubleshooting complex data issues
Serve as a subject matter expert on government finance
Critical Skills/Experience:
At least 4 years of experience with budgeting and finance (ACFR) in local governments
Experience working with data in spreadsheets or databases
Comfortable using software and technology
Eager learner who can quickly apply what they learn
Enthusiasm and aptitude for problem solving and puzzles
Personable and confident demeanor in connecting with others
Ability to clearly & concisely communicate complex information at a technical level that is appropriate to the audience, whether layperson or expert
Organized and detail-oriented
Experience with Jira, Power Query, Power BI is a plus
