Accounts Payable Analyst

As a member of our Finance team, the Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounts’ payable activities for our multiple companies. The Analyst will collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper approval of invoices and provide status updates, as requested.

Essential Duties/Functions:

  • Record invoice details into the accounts payable system, by accurately identifying the proper company, period and account coding for each invoice
  • Collect and retain the appropriate contracts, approvals, and supporting documentation including vendor information and tax information forms for each invoice prior to payment processing
  • Contract interpretation as it relates to payment details and timing
  • Prepare and perform ACH payments and wire transfers
  • Research and respond to inquiries from both vendors and department heads in a timely manner
  • Ensure month-end close deadlines for AP cutoff are met and provide analyses on outstanding balances
  • Assist with recording bank transactions
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for certain accounts
  • Assist with 1099 processing at year-end
  • Assist with annual audit requests.
  • Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and work effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to ensure proper levels of confidentiality regarding employee personal information and company operations
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the year

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Experience in the commercial insurance industry and regulatory environment
  • MS D365 Experience preferred.

Additional Information

  • The salary range for this position is 65 to 75K
  • This is a remote position. Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion (typically 2-4x per year)
  • You must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States without requirement of employment sponsorship/visa
