As a member of our Finance team, the Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounts’ payable activities for our multiple companies. The Analyst will collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper approval of invoices and provide status updates, as requested.
Essential Duties/Functions:
Record invoice details into the accounts payable system, by accurately identifying the proper company, period and account coding for each invoice
Collect and retain the appropriate contracts, approvals, and supporting documentation including vendor information and tax information forms for each invoice prior to payment processing
Contract interpretation as it relates to payment details and timing
Prepare and perform ACH payments and wire transfers
Research and respond to inquiries from both vendors and department heads in a timely manner
Ensure month-end close deadlines for AP cutoff are met and provide analyses on outstanding balances
Assist with recording bank transactions
Prepare bank reconciliations for certain accounts
Assist with 1099 processing at year-end
Assist with annual audit requests.
Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and work effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization
Excellent analytical skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to ensure proper levels of confidentiality regarding employee personal information and company operations
Ability to travel up to 20% of the year
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Experience in the commercial insurance industry and regulatory environment
MS D365 Experience preferred.

The salary range for this position is 65 to 75K
This is a remote position. Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion (typically 2-4x per year)
