We are a busy firm and currently looking to add new team members to both our Davis and Oakland offices. Currently, we have roles available at all levels from entry level Drafting/Design through experienced Project Managers. This outline describes our production support role for Oakland. Designers (sometimes referred to as Draftspersons) provide production support to Project Managers throughout all phases of architectural design from schematic design through construction administration. Designers primarily work on architecture drawings in Revit and Bluebeam and will support multiple PMs and multiple projects simultaneously.
Our Designer opening is currently focused in Oakland, CA and will support our K-12 Education client work. Candidates with 0-4 years of experience are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
Execute architectural assignments under direct supervision as assigned
Assist with development of concept design, architecture detailing, work plans/schedules
Utilize basic to proficient Revit skills for developing production drawings per HY standards and per direct supervision such as plans, elevations and extrapolated drawings
Develop draft sheet layouts and collect standard office details for projects
Learn and adhere to company standards and procedures
Conduct product research and identify areas in need of design development/details
Support multiple projects at varying phases simultaneously
Assist with site surveys, field measurements & verifications per team direction
Coordinate and e-transmit files for consultant use
Review and respond to agency comments per supervisor direction
Assist in communication with clients and consultant team
Qualifications:
0-4 years’ experience
Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent education
Basic to proficient skills with Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Effective communication and collaboration within a team environment
Willingness to learn, adapt, take direction from others, and follow instruction
Thorough knowledge of design logic, architectural drafting and detailing
Compensation
This position is hourly and eligible for overtime. Hourly base rate will depend on candidate skill and experience level and can range anywhere between $28 - $38/hour. Firm also issues discretionary bonuses based on firm profitably and individual performance.
