Associate Director Biostatistics

Associate director / Principal statistician PhD (statistical consultant)

Global Pharma | Initial 12 month contract

We are seeking a highly experienced and academically distinguished with a strong background in vaccines and immunology. This role requires advanced expertise in study design and statistical analysis, particularly in the context of clinical research. Experience with FDA interactions is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage advanced research projects on vaccines and immune system studies.
• Plan and conduct studies using advanced statistical methods and data analysis techniques.(Bayesian/ adaptive etc)
• Apply specific clinical trial design and analysis methods.
• Perform and oversee statistical analysis using various models and simulations.
• Publish research in top journals and present findings at conferences.
• Work with different teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and biostatistics.
• Communicate with regulatory agencies like the FDA to ensure compliance and facilitate approvals.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Immunology, Vaccinology, or Biostatistics.
• Extensive academic experience, with a strong teaching and research background.
• Strong publication record in the field of vaccines and immunology.
• Proven experience in designing complex studies and using advanced statistical techniques.
• Skilled in applying specific clinical trial methods.
• In-depth knowledge of various statistical models and methods.
• Experience working with or advising the FDA is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active involvement in professional organizations related to immunology and biostatistics.
• Experience with data analysis software like SAS, R, or Python.
