Manages the performance of the team through effective coaching, training and performance evaluations to achieve established goals and service levels. Monitors performance against goals and sets expectations to adhere to in order to meet service levels.
Manages the daily operations of the Express Mortgage Originators including department schedule, service level expectations, service delivery, pipeline management, resource capacity, and compliance.
Serves as subject matter expert and manages escalations as a point of contact for Express Mortgage Origination team members regarding procedures, guidelines and issue resolution. Resolves complex member problems by obtaining information, researching records, following up on details, and reporting the results to the inquiring party in order to develop and sustain member loyalty.
Communicates effectively with Members, builders, real estate agents, vendors and internal customers to resolve escalations and ensures the mortgage areas run smoothly.
Collaborates with the training department to establish a successful training environment for new and existing team members.
Assists team members with complex mortgage issues, suggests alternatives, and assists in developing their ability to work independently in order to exceed member expectations and establishes ownership in the team member’s decision-making capabilities.
Evaluates procedures and workflows, makes recommendations for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the process and procedures. Works with Mortgage management to implement process improvements using available technologies or systems to automate functions in order to reduce risks of errors and optimize productivity.
Manages human resource related activities for direct reports including; maintaining accurate job descriptions, recruiting, hiring, training, employee development and performance evaluation.
Assists with responses to internal/external audits in a timely manner and adjusts process and workflow to address identified issues. Assists in developing internal controls to minimize audit findings.
Assists in developing and analyzing reports to track and monitor production and profitability against stated Credit Union objectives and established standards.
Collaborates effectively with internal stakeholders to maximize product efficiency for the purpose of seamless, coordinated and efficient product sales and delivery.
