Responsible for introducing intermediate students to band instruments, music concepts, and the joy of playing in a band. This role involves conducting engaging presentations, demonstrations, and interactive sessions to inspire students to join the school band program.
Position Duties
Conduct dynamic and engaging presentations to introduce elementary school students to different band instruments.
Encourage student participation in the school band program by highlighting the benefits and excitement of being part of a band.
Provide basic instruction and guidance to help students try out instruments and determine their preferences.
Work closely with the Band Director and other music educators to align presentations with the overall music curriculum.
Coordinate presentation schedules with school administrators and teachers to ensure minimal disruption to regular classes.
Stay updated on best practices in music education and incorporate new ideas into presentations.
