Design engineering of automotive brakes and components. Lead technical interface in the project, internally and towards the customer. Responsible for product definition.
Job Responsibilities: The main duties and responsibilities include the following:
Lead technical activities:
Manage one or several mechanical product solutions in an application project (or acquisition) on spec, on time and on cost provide application cost and development planning during acquisition phase
Coordinate and plan technical activities (internally and with the customer) in alignment with the project
Support and coordination of overall product validation (Performance on bench, NVH and vehicle tests)
Coordinate sample quantity determination for internal needs
Authorize delivery of samples to customer
Maintain specific customer/project knowledge and history
Represent internally the customer towards plant, suppliers and other stakeholders
Alert in case of deviation according to internal rulesProject development activities
Ensure technical activities are driven according to internal standards
In charge of the technical definition according to customer requirements and internal design rules
Lead the design reviews internally and participate to review with suppliers when necessary
Improvement:
project technical documentation and other project related documents
to product continuous improvement through lessons learn
Qualifications:The Ideal candidate will have:
3+ years of "hands on" CAD experience with CATIA
2+ years of "hands on" design experience with automotive brakes and components

Qualification & Experience
Knowledge: Office Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc. SAP, Fluent English language.

Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools is also required.
Education: Bachelor/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in design/product engineering with automotive brakes. Automotive experience required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Working conditions:
Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed. The candidate will occasionally need to travel to multiple global locations to support project development.
