We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our Regulatory Compliance team. As a Manager specializing in BSA/AML controls, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our bank adheres to all applicable regulatory requirements. You will lead and conduct comprehensive audits to assess the effectiveness of our BSA/AML controls, provide strategic insights, and recommend improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and conduct internal audits focused on BSA/AML compliance, including planning, execution, and reporting.
Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of BSA/AML controls, identifying areas of risk and non-compliance.
Develop and implement audit programs and testing procedures relevant to BSA/AML regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with business units and compliance teams to ensure a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment and internal controls.
Provide recommendations for improving BSA/AML controls and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Stay abreast of changes in BSA/AML regulations and ensure the audit function remains current and effective.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE, CIA) is highly preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in internal auditing, with a strong focus on BSA/AML regulatory compliance within the banking industry.
Proven track record of managing and executing complex audit projects and leading audit teams.
In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC requirements.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risks and controls effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
