BSA/AML Compliance - Card Payments, Consumer Lending

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our Regulatory Compliance team. As a Manager specializing in BSA/AML controls, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our bank adheres to all applicable regulatory requirements. You will lead and conduct comprehensive audits to assess the effectiveness of our BSA/AML controls, provide strategic insights, and recommend improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct internal audits focused on BSA/AML compliance, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of BSA/AML controls, identifying areas of risk and non-compliance.
  • Develop and implement audit programs and testing procedures relevant to BSA/AML regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with business units and compliance teams to ensure a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment and internal controls.
  • Provide recommendations for improving BSA/AML controls and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay abreast of changes in BSA/AML regulations and ensure the audit function remains current and effective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE, CIA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in internal auditing, with a strong focus on BSA/AML regulatory compliance within the banking industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and executing complex audit projects and leading audit teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risks and controls effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
