Role: A P Ventures, LLC (APV) is seeking a capture manager with demonstrated knowledge of the capture process to focus on expanding our current presence at The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).


The prospective hire is expected to be familiar with agency's goals, congressional mandates, and challenges. The capture manager is responsible for assisting with organic growth and winning new business by leveraging APV’s capabilities and contracts.


A successful candidate will operate as an integral member of the growth team, partnering with operations/delivery and functional teams within APV. The selected candidate is responsible for developing a detailed knowledge base of the customer and competitors while maintaining dynamic market awareness. He/she will evaluate market trends and develop business cases that align with the customer’s requirements. This position will report to the VP of Client Relations and Growth.

Duties:

  • Create, identify, and qualify opportunities that align with the company's strategic and annual goals.
  • Formulate winning strategies and develop capture plans.
  • Help achieve sales goals through winning new business.
  • Interface with customer and partner communities.
  • Build customer relationships through effective communications.
  • Perform and/or lead research efforts to build a deep capture pipeline and continually prioritizes efforts to maximize return.
  • Lead the proposal team in the development of technical and business proposal responses.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related business or technical discipline. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development, Capture and Account Management
  • Alternatively, experience as a Program Lead or Technical Lead in the federal market can substitute for this requirement, provided there is at least 1 year of experience in BD/Capture.
  • Understanding, knowledge and experience of IT services and Training solutions.
  • Current familiarity with the CMS community.
  • Experience leading and capturing business pursuits through opportunity identification, qualification, capture, and proposal phases.
  • Highly effective communicator both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business software.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Travel as needed.


Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of IDIQs, BPA, and GWACs
  • Experience with CMS and its mission.
  • Business and financial management expertise.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Leadership skills in directing pursuit and/or delivery teams.
