Oversee daily operations of the career services department
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of career advisors and administrative staff
Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance career services offerings
Monitors and improves the Career Services relevant metrics
Manages all compliance in regards to placement verification and documentation processes and policies
Program Development:
Introduce new and continuing students to career development and guiding them through the general employment process
Design and deliver comprehensive career development programs, workshops, and events
Integrate career education into the curriculum through collaboration with academic departments
Utilize data-driven approaches to assess and improve program effectiveness
Employer Engagement:
Establish and maintain relationships with employers to facilitate job placements, internships, and networking opportunities
Coordinate campus recruiting activities, including job fairs and employer presentations
Develop partnerships with industry leaders to understand market trends and opportunities
Student and Alumni Support:
Provide individual career counseling and coaching to students and alumni.
Assist with resume writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, and career transitions
Create resources and tools to support career exploration and employment readiness
Drive Alumni Reputation Management
Drive Alumni Testimonial Management
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to align career services with institutional goals
Represent the career services department at various campus and external events.
Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including students, alumni, employers, and faculty
Maintain regular and consistent contact with students
Provide career opportunity counseling for students
Work with Education to support students in testing for their FAA licensing and continuing their education towards more advanced degrees
Maintain detailed and accurate records of communication with students, staff and employers in the student information system (SIS)
Send Weekly Placement updates to campus leadership team
Audit alumni graduate files monthly and present findings to campus president along with action plan
Conduct, maintain and updated student records
Administration and Budgeting:
Manage departmental budget and resources efficiently
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures
Prepare reports and provide data analysis to inform decision-making
Oversee Career Services Advisor (s) team meetings to stay aware of activities and department goals
Organize and promote Advisory Community meeting to adhere to accreditation standards
Education And Work Experience
High School Diploma, or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in career counseling, human resources, education administration, psychology, or similar required
Master's degree preferred
Strong knowledge of career development theories, job market trends, and employer relations
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Experience working with Anthology various other education / career placement systems
Thorough knowledge of institutional, state, and federal standards
