Job Description:
Boba Quest is looking for a creative individual to join our team as a 3D Character Artist to create stylized animals, humans, creatures and help our team bring our vision to life. You have an artistic eye, are a team player, and an independent problem solver.
Responsibilities:
Produce high-quality stylized character models & textures that align with concept material
Interpret & translate 2D concept art into compelling 3D stylized characters with a good eye for composition, texture, color & lighting
Communicate with directors and team members about ongoing projects, deadlines, and progress reports
Discuss and receive feedback from directors and team members and apply feedback to models
Ensuring consistency of UV mapping and polygonal subdivisions & optimize models for game development
Adhere to guidelines for presenting, submitting progress and final artwork, and managing files
Requirements:
Experience modeling, UV mapping, & texturing detailed 3D characters based off 2D concept art
A strong portfolio showing completed previous projects
Strong communication skills with team members to execute vision and ability to receive and apply feedback
Well-versed in industry-standard programs such as maya, blender, & substance painter
Excellent time-management skills and can work efficiently in a dynamic environment
Strong problem solving skills with creative & technical skills, and attention to detail
