Our next Chief Sales Officer will join a growing team in the midst of transformative growth and will be relied upon to develop sales strategies and processes that best leverage millions of dollars of bleeding-edge technology upgrades to super-charge the local church to evangelize by renewing marriage and healthy relationships. His or her team will enjoy the luxury of hundreds of warm leads that funnel through our digital and mail acquisition pipeline monthly. Your team and strategy must persuade individual pastors and win-over statewide and national denominational leaders to adopt our proven model. The hard charger we’re seeking will grow and lead a team that doesn’t just sit around waiting for the phone to ring or inbox to ding. Leading and training a sales team that prioritizes opportunities and juggles dozens of touchpoints at once will be paramount.


You know that activities drive outcomes – and follow through on effective sales processes is key. You are not afraid to hold your people accountable to those outcomes day in and day out. Part Sales Leader, part Sales Representative, you’ll run point on growing and maintaining many of Communio’s biggest client-church relationships.


Communio is a nonprofit ministry that equips the local church to share the Gospel through the renewal of healthy relationships, marriage, and the family. We serve by providing churches data insights tools and outreach services to reach people they could not otherwise reach. We provide wrap-around, evidence-based strategies proven to grow the church numerically, spiritually, and relationally. We do all this with a spirit of generosity – investing time, talent, and treasure into each church and sharing best practices and ministry expertise.


To date, Communio has equipped more than 240 churches on our model – the Data-Informed, Full-Circle Relationship Ministry®. The model was derived from our successful pilot that lowered the divorce rate in Jacksonville, Florida by 24 percent in just three-years. Today, churches that follow Communio’s guidance and ministry best practices see an average 22 percent growth in Sunday attendance by the 12-24 month mark of our process. Seventy percent of couples who self-report being at the highest risk of divorce report being very satisfied or better in their marriage after completing a relationship skills resource.


Now, we’re ready to grow by an order of magnitude. The right Chief Sales Officer will build out a world-class B2B and enterprise sales team to bring Communio’s revolutionary, culture-changing model to thousands of new churches.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Grow a high-performance team of B2B and enterprise salesmen and women.
  • Enhance existing lead acquisition efforts and drive accountability for converting Sales Qualified Leads into closed business.
  • Provide ongoing sales reporting on sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Assist in new product research, customer requirements, and market trends.
  • Manage and direct sales personnel; lead overall direction, coordination, and evaluation; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
