Bestgate Engineering is currently seeking a Cleared DevOps Engineer to join our team of developers focused on modernizing an enterprise Information System. The ideal candidate will write code, develop features, maintain the application, and manage Docker containers to ensure efficient application deployment. This position requires adaptation to a fast-paced, agile work environment and collaboration on a small team that operates on a monthly sprint schedule, including quarterly upgrades. Collaboration on a team of 4 developers to modernize and maintain an enterprise application.
Proficiency in writing code, developing features, and maintaining applications.
Capability to address user issues, fix bugs, and improve system performance.
Experience with a technology stack that includes Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Docker.
Management and updating of Docker containers for efficient application deployment and scaling.
Engagement in Agile methodologies, including participation in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Alternatively, seven (7) years of software development experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Experience with JavaScript Frameworks (Angular, Vue, React).
Full Stack Development experience.
Willingness to learn modern technologies.
Working understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Desired Skills:
Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment.
Experience with Java.
Familiarity with PrimeNG UI and TypeForm API.
Experience managing systems in a virtual hosting environment, including AWS.
Experience with PostgreSQL.
