Clinical Application Analyst, EMR / EPIC

Location: US, Remote

Target Salary: $80K-$110K Annually, potentially more, DOE

***Note: Candidates must be able to work as Full Time W2 Employee without Sponsorship***


About: 2024 is a critical foundational year for our client’s systems and technology. They have identified the need for a customer facing analytics solution as part of product implementation. In this role as Clinical Applications Analyst, you will support their B2B data pipeline strategy that is integral for scaling their first customers and beyond.


What you do:

This Clinical Analyst will play a crucial role in the company, by analyzing and implementing clinical data systems that aid hospitals with patient care and medical procedures. The objective of this role is to successfully onboard customers to the analytics platform which includes the initial setup of data from the hospital, support of the data engineer team, and transforming data into relevant insights that ultimately power a customer facing dashboard for our customers. This customer-facing Clinical Applications Analyst will be the point of contact to maintain current APIs related to hospital data or hospital code changes. They will be the steward of customer data per HIPAA/SOC2 as well.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and implement systems that improve patient outcomes and enable efficient use of resources.
  • Analyze and interpret complex medical records, patient data, and clinical systems data.
  • Design, develop, and implement clinical databases to enhance healthcare delivery.
  • Identify areas for system improvements and propose innovative solutions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution within the clinical information systems.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure the accuracy and quality of data.
  • Train healthcare staff on new systems and protocols.
  • Stay updated on current trends and advancements in clinical informatics and healthcare technologies.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Know workflow within health system, ideally ED, ICU, OR, and Lab
  • Understand healthcare databases, data models, dashboards and BI tools
  • General Knowledge of CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
  • Experience with EMRs specifically Epic ASAP, Beaker, Caboodle, Clarity
  • Understand bedside Blood culture workflow and blood culture Microbiology results a plus

  • Strong project leadership skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/initiatives in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Strong business acumen relative to project business case development and market analysis, and department budget management
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to work in a fasted paced environment and ability to develop entrepreneurship, agility, and open innovation mindset
  • Extensive experience with using project management and/or collaboration tools
  • Ability to travel frequently between sites as needed
