The Staff Clinical Pharmacist monitors drug development pipeline, and medical literature, while providing clinical support for internal stakeholders. Utilizes broad understanding of managed care and PBM knowledge to develop, and/or implement strategies and programs to mitigate cost trend and improve health outcomes. The Staff Clinical Pharmacist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.


The Staff Clinical Pharmacist develops, maintains, and/or operationalizes formularies related to coverage, utilization management edits, or clinical coverage policies for pharmacy and medical administered drug products. Conducts analysis on drug utilization trends to evaluate and inform formulary strategies. Collaborates on research projects and develops proposals for research projects. Develops corporate communications to be shared with senior Professional leadership. Supports trend management by conducting analysis of drug spend, utilization, and/or approval scenarios. Begins to influence departments strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.


Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted pharmacist license within the state of FL (License will need to show you are registered with the board to administer immunizations)

• BS Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy

• 5+ years’ experience as a practicing pharmacist

• Certified in basic life support (BLS) and immunization administration

• Excellent organization and communication (verbal and written) skills

• Ability to work in a team environment and support common goals

• Strong attention to detail; able to concentrate without distraction in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, anticipate and solve problems

• Ability to travel to cover locations in the Daytona Beach Area (Orange City, Ormond Beach & Port Orange)



Preferred Qualifications

PharmD

Health Plan experience

Knowledge of Medicare as it relates to pharmacy

Six Sigma and/or Project Management Professional certification

Pharmacy practice residency or similar pharmacy practice experience
