Our client in Rockville, MD is looking for a new Commercial Contracts Manager to join their team!
Job Title: Commercial Contracts Manager
Location: Rockville, MD
Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Five days a week in office.
Job Duties:
Lead and/or assist in the negotiation and drafting of various commercial contracts, including but not limited to confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, vendor contracts, and professional services agreements.
Conduct thorough risk assessments on proposed contracts, identifying potential legal and business risks, and providing strategic guidance to mitigate those risks.
Manage contracts database.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to understand business objectives and align contract terms accordingly.
Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations in the industry and ensure that all contracts adhere to legal and compliance standards.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar or Paralegal Certificate
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial contract negotiation and contract drafting.
Strong understanding of legal principles and contract law
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
