Norway Savings Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Servicing Team Lead to join our Loan Operations team!
In this leadership role, you’ll report directly to the Loan Operations Servicing Assistant Manager, and will be responsible for training our team members and leading day-to-day operations.
Using your technical aptitude and savvy problem-solving abilities, you’ll handle complicated loan-related issues, while empowering your team with knowledge and education to increasingly contribute to the success of the department.
This role will not only require you to use your positive attitude and skills as an effective team player, but also your knowledge of bank integration along with file integration and system interfaces to the Core System Application.

Essential Pieces Of The Position
Handles the monthly reporting to the Small Business Authority and Finance Authority of Maine in addition to the quarterly reporting to Rural Development.
Supports and assists the Commercial Loan Administration team.
Maintains Commercial floorplans.
Provides leadership to team including ongoing coaching employee development.
Provides effective personnel management to include: recruiting, making salary recommendations, conducting coaching sessions and writing performance evaluations.
Develops and delivers training resources for team members.
Assists with research and provides reports for various loan compliance audits and examinations.
Acts as a resource to support all areas within Loan Servicing and other departments.
Works with Loan Servicing leadership in regard to workflow adjustment in order to support the daily responsibilities of the staff.
Researches and investigates the more complex Commercial Loan Servicing issues that surface. Evaluates, develops, analyzes, improves and applies technical updates in relation to complex problems.
Handles escalated customer issues with the ability to analyze complex problems.
Understands and applies bank policy to aid in the set- up of loans and all related processes.
Leads projects to support Loan Operation’s needs.
Conducts compliance review of all loan documentation to verify regulations are being followed.
Ensures all audit controls are in place.

Required Skills, Qualifications And Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
4 years loan servicing experience preferred
Advanced knowledge of federal and state lending and servicing regulations.
Advanced knowledge of core system applications.
Well versed in understanding technical tools and solutions.
