We are looking for a Commercial Senior Manager for FanDuel Casino to lead our performance and planning strategy from a commercial perspective.
The role will partner closely with marketing teams to steer the strategy for tentpole moments and seasonal campaigns, orienting teams to what matters most for the casino business. They will act as the commercial liaison to marketing stakeholders (e.g. customer retention, brand/media, acquisition, multi-product play) to ensure the latest business insights and performance trends are considered & embedded throughout our approach. The Senior Manager will also be accountable for strengthening the cross-functional planning process and provide commercial guidance on quarterly priorities and opportunities to achieve our core objectives.

The applicable [salary] / [hourly] range for this position is $118,000 - $147,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.

THE GAME PLAN

- Be the key driver of decision-making based on recent insights or risks, ensuring we recalibrate investment levels, shift tactics when necessary, and achieve consensus across teams.
- Become the go-to commercial person for media, brand, and multi-product play stakeholders.
- Deeply understand the performance metrics of the business (e.g. retention, unique actives, generosity levels) and constantly challenge the status quo.
- Effectively communicate performance trends inside and outside of Commercial and be able to clearly articulate plans for continuing to improve performance.
- Work closely with marketing stakeholders to set targets and lead KPI development.
- Monitor weekly and monthly performance to make sure respective team meets the targets agreed.
- Monitor the business performance, key drivers and trends, and report regularly to the leadership team.
- Input into the annual marketing roadmap, advising on priorities and commercial impact as needed.
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 5-7 years of experience in relevant or adjacent industries is preferred e.g. online sports betting, iGaming, e-commerce, or high-growth B2C digital-only product.
- At least 1 year of experience managing a team of analysts, commercial generalists, or marketers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a highly numerate major (Business, Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant professional experience in data and/or business analysis.
- Track record of transforming data into actionable insights and presentations.
- Possess a strong understanding of online marketing and its fundamental success metrics.
- Extremely well-organized with a natural ability to take initiative, build processes, and improve ways of working.
- Strategic Mind-set: takes a long-term view and anticipates future trends and implications.
- Collaborates: is a team player - works with the team and stakeholders across the organization to get things done.
- Commercial acumen: advanced understanding of business principles and the levers.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint or Google Slides required.
- Experience in SQL, data visualization platforms like Tableau, or marketing analytics a plus.
- Understand the different components of a P&L and is familiar with the budgeting process.
