What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a skilled professional with excellent dexterity and proficiency in using modern dental technology, such as iTero and Diagnodent.

• You should be adept at taking and interpreting dental radiographs and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A positive mindset and an optimistic, can-do attitude are essential. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision are crucial for this role.
• You should be adaptable to change, detail-oriented, confident in your abilities, and able to manage your time effectively.
• Flexibility in handling varying work demands and excellent organizational skills are important, along with the ability to listen attentively and respond to patient and team needs effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Tennessee and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification
  
  

Preferred Experience

• New graduates and seasoned hygienists are both welcome!
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
