Director of Finishing & Packaging Operations

Position Summary:

What You’ll Do:

  • Safety & Quality First: Ensure a safe and secure working environment, prioritizing the protection of people, products, and the environment.
  • Set Clear Goals: Define and communicate objectives for the Finishing and Packaging teams, reviewing performance with management and providing tools for success.
  • Engage on the Floor: Maintain consistency across shifts through active engagement on the production floor.
  • Control Resources: Implement systems to manage capital, operating expenditures, and labor efficiently.
  • Foster Team Spirit: Promote open communication and a collaborative team environment.
  • Drive Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality, safety, productivity, and profitability.
  • Optimize Operations: Lead department managers to optimize production scheduling and budgets.
  • Champion Culture: Act as a culture champion, reinforcing our organization’s pillars of safety, quality, and security.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Empower Innovation: Encourage teams to eliminate waste, drive results, and create value for customers.

Your Experience:

  • 10+ years of plant operations management experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient in ERP systems; experience leading during ERP implementation is a plus.
  • Significant experience in high-volume, high-speed production environments.
  • Proven track record with multisite management and 24/7 manufacturing operations.
  • Strong multitasking, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and collaboration skills.
  • Financial acumen with a deep understanding of P&L statements, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
