Key Responsibilities

SEC Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K forms.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and reporting standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.

Goodwill Accounting:

  • Manage goodwill impairment testing and valuation.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of goodwill in financial statements.

Policy Writing:

  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Update and maintain the company’s financial reporting policies and manuals.

Flux Analysis:

  • Conduct flux analysis to identify and explain significant variances in financial statements.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on variance analysis.

Stock Compensation:

  • Manage the accounting and reporting of stock-based compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 718 and other relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and review stock compensation expense calculations and related disclosures.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments, including Legal, Investor Relations, and Corporate Development, to support various financial reporting needs.
  • Serve as a key liaison with external auditors and consultants.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is required; an advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Accounting) is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on SEC reporting.
  • Proven expertise in goodwill accounting, policy writing, flux analysis, and stock compensation.
  • Prior experience in a publicly traded company or a Big 4 accounting firm is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
