Job Title: Elementary Instructional Coach (In Anticipation of Future Openings)
Reports to: Campus Principal

Work Year: 184 Days
Base Salary: Teacher Pay Scale + Stipend
Primary Purpose
Assist with closing the student achievement gap and accelerate learning for all students by building teacher capacity through job-embedded professional learning.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Elementary certified EC-5
Master's Degree preferred
Valid Texas Teacher Certification – Elementary
ESL Certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
Experience leading professional learning
Campus leadership experience
Extensive experience in current curriculum and instructional strategies
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
Demonstrated skills in the areas of coaching and collaborative planning
Experience
Minimum three years of elementary teaching experience
Campus Leadership Experience Preferred
Experience facilitating professional learning preferred
Major Responsibilities And Duties
Under the direction of Teaching and Learning leadership and supervision of the campus principal:
Support and provide training and coaching to improve student learning and achievement.
Support Others In Building Their Teaching Skills.
Assist in application of new knowledge.
Provide ongoing learning and sustainment.
Increase the overall quality of effective content instruction.
Serve as the lead learner through modeling and facilitating learning opportunities for campus staff.
Support the implementation of state standards through District adopted curricula and the use of effective instructional strategies.
Increase the quality and effectiveness of classroom instruction through collaborating, co-planning, coaching cycles, fostering trusting relationships with staff, and supporting the learning process.
Build capacity of campus teams through facilitating conversations during team collaboration to assist with determining instructional decisions.
Support and communicate campus and District initiatives.
Assist District and campus administration in identifying programmatic growth areas for the campus and grade-level teams.
Assist teachers in interpreting test data and learning to use it to adjust instruction.
Exhibit a high level of ethics and confidentiality in regard to student and teacher records and classroom performance.
Other Duties As Assigned

Maintain emotional control under stress; flexibility to meet the needs of the teaching staff on the campus. Duties are physically demanding, including moving between rooms, moving small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
