Position Summary:


We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled individual to fill the dual role of Project Manager and Process/Chemical Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project lifecycles from inception to completion, as well as managing the use and handling of various processes within our manufacturing environments. This role requires strong project management capabilities, in-depth process knowledge, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.


Principal Responsibilities:


Project Management:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, fabrication, quality control, and procurement, to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
  • Support sales as a technical subject matter expert to properly scope, development conceptual design and estimate project costs.


Process/Chemical Engineering:

  • Design, develop, and optimize chemical or food & beverage processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Develop PFD’s, mass and energy balances and detailed P&ID’s
  • Review and understand process simulations, analyses, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
  • Specify the equipment, valves, and specialty items, including the supporting processes needed.
  • Create project submittals as required.
  • Oversee the selection, procurement, and safe handling of chemicals used in manufacturing.
  • Work with and direct electrical / controls engineering, mechanical design and other project team disciplines to advance overall project design.
  • Review fabrication documents for accuracy and readiness for construction.
  • Design with process safety in mind.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering or project management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical properties, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project,).
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g. PipeFlo, Excel Workbooks)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
