Omnicom Media Group is seeking a seasoned Executive Director of Finance with 15+ years of experience, who possesses superior financial operations, accounting, reporting and analysis skills as well as excellent talent management and interpersonal communication skills. Reporting to the CFO, this position is responsible for directing day-to-day operations of the Finance team and all deliverables. Major areas of responsibility include direct business partnership with Client Business Leads, Financial Planning and Analysis, Client Finance and the Corporate Finance team. We are looking for a strong leader and manager accustomed to driving talent transformation on the Finance team, while evolving operational processes and leveraging and improving the use of systems in place. Required Skills And Qualifications
Minimum 12+ years’ experience
Experience within a Media Agency or media holding company
Experience working with business units of a public corporation with multiple P&Ls/depts
Comfortable dealing with clients including: new business pitches, contract and SOW negotiations, and audits
Experience with labor-based costing and tracking
Must have advanced accounting, analytical and reporting skills with strong business acumen
Very strong management skills, directing, delegating, managing performance and inspiring talent
Experience with identifying and executing process improvements
Must have exceptional Excel, Microsoft suite of software, and agency software skills
Easily and methodically flow from delegation of tasks to knowing when to roll-up sleeves
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all levels including presenting to Agency and Corporate leadership
Team player who can function well in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and work within strict deadlines
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day financial operations of the Finance team with full accountability for all timely and accurate deliverables
Management of the Finance team, while ensuring that members are empowered, properly supported and accountable for delivering set objectives. You will monitor and assess department work quality with a focus on driving greater efficiency and optimal resource utilization
In addition to strong management skills, this role is best suited for someone who knows when to remain hands-on and be accountable for personal deliverables.
Manage and support the FP&A team with the following: Month-end close and monthly reforecasts; Timely reporting of all monthly financial information to internal management and external stakeholders; Preparation of annual budgets and budget presentations; Accounting/reporting changes and requirements issued by network group
Manage and support the client finance team with revenue accounting, negotiation of compensation and service agreements, profitability analysis and audits
Work closely with business leads and internal partners to provide financial support and guidance
Ensure all appropriate internal controls have been identified, developed and maintained
