Qualifications:

  • Experience Matters: You’ll need a minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing risks and making informed decisions.
  • General liability, commercial auto, property and workers compensation underwriting experience preferred
  • Educational Background: A BA or BS degree, ideally in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting, will set you up for success in this role.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the implementation of underwriting practices within a designated area, directing efforts to achieve underwriting objectives in specified business programs.
  • Executes sales budgets and targets for the region, including attainment of premium and loss ratio objectives, engagement in agency activities, and forecasting business growth.
  • Assesses and guides the underwriting of complex or sizable risks requiring advanced technical expertise in product and industry knowledge.
  • Supports the cultivation of productive agency relationships
