The Facilities Director is responsible for maintaining and managing all aspects of our dental facilities. We are looking for a highly organized, dependable Facilities Director to increase operational efficiency, minimize risks, and maintain safe and functional facilities for all clients and staff. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
Work Orders: The Facilities Director will be in charge of managing all maintenance work orders and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. The Facilities Director will also oversee any outsourced work orders such as getting quotes for painting, flooring, or any other remodels.
Due Diligence: The Facilities Director will oversee the due diligence of all acquisitions, ensuring an estimate of capital expenditure needed to bring new partnerships up to where we need them to be.
Lease Management: The Facilities Director will act as the liaison between the company and landlords regarding all repairs, as well as negotiations with lease renewals as needed. (with the cooperation of our legal team).
External Vendors: The Facilities Director is responsible for all coordination with external vendors for events such as, but not limited to, maintenance repairs where responsibility falls to the tenant.
New Builds: The Facilities Director will be responsible for the oversight of all new builds and remodels.
Budget Management: The Facilities Director oversees budget management by planning, allocating, and controlling budgets to maintain operational effectiveness and profitability.
Implementing policies and safety procedures: The Facilities Director will be in charge of developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies to ensure the organization complies with local, state, and federal safety laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or related experience in Facilities Management.
Minimum two years of experience in facilities management or maintenance management.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Familiarity with construction new and remodel, architecture, and various systems such as HVAC and electrical.
Strong level of communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external partners.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing complex budgets and negotiation skills.
