GPAC (Growing People & Companies) is a national search firm partnering with an established and fast-growing rare disease advocacy and research organization to search for their next Regional Fund Development Manager for the East Coast. This opportunity requires 3 to 5 years' fundraising experience achieving ambitious fund development goals within several metro areas.

Position Summary

The Regional Fund Development Manager will work with team members to generate revenue via a variety of non-profit revenue streams, including major gifts, recurring gifts, planned gifts, individual giving, corporate and foundation giving, memorials, third party fundraising events and sponsorship procurement. This position will also assist with the implementation and expansion of current nationally based campaigns within the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic US regions.

This a frontline fundraiser role which offers an opportunity to grow professionally while directly helping those impacted by life-altering disease. The work arrangement is flexible and remote with travel (approximately 2 x per month.) The Development Manager must have the ability to build a base of support in four metro areas: Boston, Pittsburgh, Philly, and Baltimore, as well as expand the organization's impact into one or two additional metro areas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive, plan, and execute an ongoing, comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes audience and segmentation strategy - a diverse and sustainable mix of foundations, high net worth individual donors, sponsorships, and other contributed revenue sources.
  • Create a donor retention culture and work closely with the VP of Fund Development in managing all stewardship and cultivation activities.
  • Support the development of a philanthropic culture through communications support and operationalizing regional fundraising initiatives.
  • Embrace a data-driven fundraising and engagement culture which includes utilizing CRM platform.
  • Generate regular fundraising reports including weekly and monthly trend analysis and fulfilling formal reporting requirements with clear and accurate analysis.
  • Liaise with the finance and administrative teams to ensure all funds raised are stewarded appropriately.
  • Collaborate internally with the marketing team to develop and disseminate all fundraising collateral, such as thank you letters, annual reports, appeals, etc.
  • Work remotely with occasional travel along the east coast (approximately 2 x per month.)

Role Requirements

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience building donor acquisition and retention programs.
  • Success in developing and managing multi-year fundraising campaigns from concept to delivery.
  • Knowledge/experience of national, regional, and local fundraising landscape.
  • At least 3 years of fundraising experience, running multi-segment revenue programs.
  • Experience using fund development databases / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform(s.)
  • Comfortable with working remotely and traveling to several metro areas on the east coast approximately 2X per week.
