The Role
We are seeking a Fundraising Manager to join our dynamic Grants & Development team. This fully remote position offers flexibility and can be based anywhere with reliable internet access. Candidates from any nationality are encouraged to apply. Reporting to the Head of Grants & Development, you will play a crucial role in driving our fundraising efforts.
Fundraising Planning & Execution
Develop and implement our fundraising strategy to exceed financial goals in collaboration with the executive team.
Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, public sector funders, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
Research and pursue new funding opportunities, preparing applications and letters of inquiry.
Represent the organization at conferences and events to engage with donors and present project proposals.
Project/Proposal Design
Collaborate with the Global Programs team to develop compelling project proposals tailored to donor interests.
Ensure proposals align with organizational capacities and develop budgets in partnership with the Finance team.
Incorporate lessons learned from past projects to enhance proposal quality and success rates.
Data Collection & Analysis
Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and donor interactions using Salesforce.
Prepare progress reports on fundraising goals for presentation to senior management.
Coordinate administrative activities with Finance and Operations teams as needed.
Access Management
Oversee ACLED's Access Portal, ensuring efficient documentation and communications for users.
Address user queries and technical issues related to access, escalating where necessary.
Contribute to product development activities to enhance user experience.
Other Responsibilities
Collaborate with the communications team to create fundraising-related marketing materials.
Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and identify areas for improvement.
Support ad hoc administrative tasks as assigned by the Head of Grants & Development.
Skills and Competencies
Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising and development, with a proven track record of achieving funding targets.
Experience in data-driven environments, preferably related to conflict or political analysis.
Proficiency in grant proposal development and budgeting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
