Join our San Francisco Team as a CAD/GIS Integration Consultant!

In this role, you'll bridge the gap between GIS mapping and CAD design. You'll leverage your expertise to automate processes, manage data, and develop solutions using ArcGIS and Python.

Location: Hybrid, in San Francisco, CA

Duration of Contract: 6 months

Key Skills:

• ArcGIS Pro: Experience and knowledge of the software, including basic GIS concepts.
• Python Programming: Ability to write scripts to automate tasks.
• ArcPy Library: Familiarity with this Python library for ArcGIS is essential.
• Data Management: Skills in creating geodatabases, feature datasets, and importing data.
• CAD Knowledge: Basic understanding of AutoCAD files and their components.

Project Tasks:

1. Validate Import Process: Import a sample of complex CAD drawings and ensure the data structure (schema) and information are complete in the target GIS format.
2. Automate Data Import: Create a Python script using ArcPy to automatically import all the CAD drawings into the target GIS system.
3. Import with File Name: During import, ensure the original CAD file name is included as a data point for each feature.
