Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor looking for a Hydrographic Surveyor/GPS Technician to support our dredging and capping operations in Louisiana, as well as across the country. This position will be initially based in Louisiana but may eventually be anywhere in the United States and travel to various sites will be required.
The Daily Work Will Include
Assisting with daily reporting for dredging and capping production estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Installation of Dredgepack/Trimble Machine Control Software, GPS, and inclinometers during project mobilization
Troubleshooting GPS equipment, cables, inclinometers, and software as needed
Performing hydrographic surveys using Hypack
Processing survey data and presentation of the data
Skills/Experience
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering related discipline. Other degrees/education will be considered based on experience and past performance. Preferred skills:
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proficient with Trimble Products and (GNSS)
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Proficient with Trimble Machine Control, Hypack, and Dredgepack Software
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
