Job Summary


Reporting to the Regional HR Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for all HR initiatives within a unionized manufacturing facility. This pivotal role ensures that HR strategies are finely tuned to meet operational and business requirements. The ideal candidate values enhancing employee performance through effective leadership, emphasizing sustainable success driven by a motivated team aligned with strategic goals and equipped with essential skills.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with business leaders to translate corporate strategies into HR initiatives fostering culture, organizational effectiveness, and capability development.
  • Offer daily strategic HR consultation and partnership to designated client groups and senior functional leaders.
  • Advise and coach management on implementing HR programs and resolving intricate employee issues effectively.
  • Work closely with business and HR leadership to co-create tailored HR strategies aligned with specific business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional HR peers, centers of excellence, and business support units such as Staffing, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and Legal on diverse initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Center of Excellence to design and implement impactful strategies and programs encompassing employee engagement, talent acquisition, organizational design, talent management, training, compensation & benefits, labor relations, change management, and diversity & inclusion.


Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:


  • Proven capability in fostering trust across all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Strong organizational acumen with meticulous attention to detail
  • Broad understanding of diverse HR disciplines, encompassing compensation practices, organizational analysis, employee relations, diversity, and performance management, alongside federal/state employment laws
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and policies effectively
  • Expertise in handling highly confidential information with discretion
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, adept at engaging employees across various levels
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and dedication to exemplary customer service
  • Skill in interpreting labor agreements, drafting proposals, and negotiating contracts
  • Strong analytical prowess and problem-solving abilities, including proficient data analysis
  • Effective time management skills, consistently meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with US labor laws and employment regulations


Must Have:


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Over 8 years of HR Business Partner experience
  • Proficiency in benefits and compensation administration, market pricing, labor law, and organizational development
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Skilled in conflict management and mediation
  • Proven track record in establishing consulting relationships and influencing business leaders through coaching and partnership
