Role Description
Capitolis is looking for a New York-based Information Risk Analyst (the "Analyst") to join our Legal Department. The Analyst will play a critical role in safeguarding our information systems against threats and ensuring the integrity of electronic information crucial to our operations. The Analyst will contribute directly to aligning our Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
As a key member of our risk management team, the Analyst will have an array of opportunities to collaborate with other management functions (e.g., Finance, Legal, Compliance) as well as the operating businesses to deliver best-in-class products and services to our clients and counterparties. The Analyst will be a highly visible, in-demand resource given the integral role that technology plays in our daily operations.
The ideal candidate has a background in cybersecurity and third-party risk management either from industry experience or coursework. Some knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in the financial sector would be a significant differentiator but is not a requirement. The position will be located at the Firm's global headquarters in midtown Manhattan, across from Bryant Park, and report directly to the Chief Risk Officer.
Responsibilities
Monitor the firm's information security posture, and provide regular updates to senior managers
Conduct assessments to identify information security risks and recommend remediation strategies
Assist in maintaining written policies and procedures related to information security
Help ensure that that identified information security risks are escalated to the appropriate personnel
Respond promptly to information security incidents and coordinate response activities
Collaborate with other teams to ensure information security is considered in business processes
Coordinate information security awareness training for all employees
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the information security threat landscape
Lead the firm's vendor management process, including responding to security questionnaires
Provide support for Global Risk and Compliance initiatives, as needed
Requirements
One to three years' experience, ideally in the technology or FinTech industry
Proficiency in security technologies, including industry-standard techniques and practices
Positive attitude and willingness to roll-up your sleeves
Ability to multitask and prioritize high volumes of tasks with urgency
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
Strong sense of independence and integrity

The target annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 – $100,000 and is dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills. In addition to base salary, the compensation package for this role includes an annual discretionary bonus and company equity. This role is also eligible to participate in company-sponsored benefits and perks.
