Integrated Circuit (IC) CAD Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our IC design teams from PDK administration, layout design, verification flow support, custom DRC/LVS rule deck implementation, to scripting development. You will also work with IC layout designers in taping out our chips.

Responsibilities

  • Administer CAD EDA environment for analog, digital, photonics, and package design teams
  • Support design flows from EDA vendors like Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor, Keysight, Ansys, and others
  • Oversee physical verification tools and decks (DRC, LVS, Extraction, EM/IR, ESD, etc.), making custom modifications as needed
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure for custom PDK development (custom pcells, models, DRC, LVS, etc.)
  • Install and track foundry PDKs, including creating automated regression testing
  • Write scripts to support design teams and flows using languages like Skill, Python, TCL, C
  • Assist the infrastructure team in ensuring the availability and performance of computing resources


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of CAD engineering experience
  • Proficient in using industry-standard design software, including Cadence Virtuoso, Cadence/Calibre DRC, LVS tools
  • Proficiency with supporting DRC and/or LVS decks
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, SKILL, or Bash
  • Experience supporting design teams working with analog and digital design flows
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with remote teams


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D package design tools is a plus

We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role, inclusive of all US locations, is $97,000 - $170,000. Your base salary will be determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
