The Director of Quality A/C will be responsible for ensuring the highest comapny standards of quality across all products and processes. This senior-level position oversees all aspects of quality assurance and control, driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations and coordinating with all company-wide safety requirements and initiatives. A minimum of travel per quarter is needed.
Responsibilites
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and regulatory agencies on quality-related matters.
Lead the quality control team, providing guidance, training, and development to ensure high performance.
Establish and monitor key quality metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
Ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations for quality, reliability, and performance.
Develop and implement comprehensive quality control systems and processes to ensure product consistency and excellence.
Oversee quality inspections, audits, and testing procedures throughout the manufacturing, fabrication and job-site installation processes.
Maintain and update quality documentation, including policies, procedures, and records, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to enhance quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, fabrication and supply chain/sourcing, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools. Six Sigma ceritifcation preferred.
Experience with manufacturing within the off-site construction and building component manufacturing.
Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing quality control systems and processes.
Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Strong knowledge of quality standards, methodologies, and best practices, including ISO 9001.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Proficiency with Microsoft product suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proficiency in using quality management software and ERP systems.
