Key Account Manager - Spirits

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Key Account Manager, Spirits maintains and expands relationships with large customers. Assigned to multiple customers, the Key Account Manager is responsible for achieving Revenue, Margin, and assigned strategic account objectives. The Key Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers. Leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring customers' needs and expectations are met by the company. Develops unique ways to grow the business with customers and provide solutions to management in the face of challenges.


Essential Functions

  1. Create, Maintain, and Grow customer relationships to ensure attainment of company goals.
  2. Work with Spirits Customers to add value and innovate their portfolios using Doehler Ingredients & Ingredient Systems.
  3. Use company CRM tools to ensure visibility on projects and customers internally.
  4. Execute the annual sales planning process and maintain customer forecasts.
  5. Develop and implement sales initiatives that successfully execute business unit initiatives.
  6. Support assigned customers in the best possible way by establishing professional relationship management with the respective decision-makers and influencers inside each customer.
  7. Proactively and continuously evaluate, coordinate, and validate customer requirements in order to enhance customer loyalty and increase customer value.
  8. Work closely with internal Cross-Functional team members to ensure alignment on company and customer goals.
  9. Implement the operative targets (e.g. portfolio business, new business, competitor share, new business fields) for the area of responsibility, taking long-term strategic corporate targets into account, creating account development plans for defined customers, executing against them and updating them regularly.
  10. Attain the sales, volume and profit targets as well as introduce suitable measures to counteract potential and actual deviations in consultation with sales leadership.
  11. Manage all customer opportunities and keep all cross functional team members on track to deliver all needed info and deliverables to meet customer expectations.
  12. Ensure that any customer requests are managed through the organization appropriately and responded to in a timely and accurate way.

This is a remote position requiring reasonable travel.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, salaried position with base salary + bonus potential.


Travel

As required, estimated at 25% - 50%.


Required Qualifications

  1. College degree.
  2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  3. Experience in Alcohol Industry


Preferred Qualifications

  1. CRM experience.
  2. Spirits Industry experience.
  3. Ingredient Industry experience.
