Schedule
The internship is designed to accommodate varying schedules and interests. We offer:
A flexible, part-time schedule to fit around your coursework and other commitments
Project-based learning, allowing you to work on real-world projects that align with your passions and interests
Mentorship from experienced professionals who will guide and support you throughout the program
Structure
Our program focuses on independent learning and real-life applications, offering a balance between academic knowledge and practical application through activities, discussions, and experiences. We will have four units, each increasing in scope:
Research: learn about the legal research process and develop your skills in searching and analyzing case law
Writing: work on writing projects that apply legal principles to real-world scenarios
Practice: participate in mock trials, client counseling, and other experiential learning activities
Capstone: design and execute a final project that applies all of the skills learned throughout the program
Job Summary
You will assist the supervising attorney and legal team in various tasks related to legal research, case preparations, administrative support, and document management.
Case Preparations
Assist in organizing legal paperwork, including case files, evidence records, and legal documents.
Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies and arguments for cases.
Participate in investigations, observe court proceedings, and assist in drafting court documents.
Administrative Support
Perform basic clerical tasks, such as receiving clients, answering phone calls, and taking messages.
Draft emails, memorandums, and correspondence.
Transcribe, scan, and photocopy documents as required.
Qualifications and Skills
