Magazine Editor

Wave Sliders Magazine is a vibrant publication dedicated to student surf culture around the schools of California. We are seeking a motivated and creative Editor Intern(s) to join our team. This is a remote position ideal for individuals passionate about surfing, storytelling, and visual arts.

Responsibilities:

• Curate and edit content including articles, stories, interviews, and visual media.
• Collaborate with writers, photographers, businesses, and artists to produce compelling magazine issues.
• Ensure all content aligns with the magazine's style and audience preferences.
• Assist in planning editorial calendars and themes for upcoming issues.
• Help manage social media presence and engage with our community of readers.

Requirements:

• Passion for surfing and enthusiasm for student culture.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with content management systems and basic graphic design is a plus.
