Maintenance Supervisor

The C. Harper Auto Group is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep of buildings and grounds across all dealership locations. The primary responsibilities include ensuring all facilities are in excellent condition, managing maintenance tasks, and maintaining company standards. This role involves both hands-on labor duties and leadership responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation and productivity of the facilities.

Responsibilities:

General Maintenance:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance tasks across all dealership locations, ensuring that all facilities are in top condition.
• Lighting Fixtures: Regularly check and replace light bulbs in lighting fixtures.
• Wall and Plumbing Repairs: Conduct minor wall/drywall repairs, painting, and minor plumbing repairs such as fixing faucets, unclogging toilets, and maintaining irrigation systems.
  
  
  

Grounds Maintenance:

• Landscaping: Maintain lawns and formal plantings, including grass cutting, edging, and weed control.
• Snow Removal: Ensure all locations are safe and accessible by removing snow during winter months.
• Parking Lots: Maintain parking lots by clearing storm water grates, painting curbs, striping lots, and filling potholes.
  
  
  

Equipment Operation and Transport:

• Large Vehicles: Operate large vehicles, including dump-bed trucks, tractors, and skid steer loaders for various maintenance tasks.
• Tool Transport: Transport tools, equipment, and materials using a tow truck when necessary.
  
  
  

Leadership and Coordination:

• Team Assistance: Assist other team members with completing their tasks and objectives, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Issue Resolution: Address and resolve maintenance issues reported by multiple sources, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  
  
  

Safety and Compliance:

• Safety Standards: Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed safely and efficiently, following all company guidelines and regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance on grounds-related equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  
  
  

Job Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills:

• Tools and Techniques: Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods used in landscaping and maintenance.
• Equipment Operation: Ability to operate riding and push mowers, power tillers, power edgers, weed whips, blowers, sprayers, tractors, skid steer loaders, dump-bed trucks, and basic hand and power tools.
• Large Vehicle Operation: Ability to operate large vehicles safely and efficiently.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Strength and Mobility: Ability to bend at the waist and knees, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds, and operate light machinery.
• Environmental Adaptability: Ability to work in various environmental conditions and use special equipment as needed.
  
  
  

Education and Licensing:

• High School Diploma or GED: Minimum educational requirement.
