Lead manufacturing-related projects
Lead operations improvement - ergonomic & human factors, operations plans, recovery planning, capacity planning and capital planning
Provide production support - scheduling, theory of constraint, budget & forecast, crew empowerment, defect analysis, core competency definition, make/buy evaluation, benchmarking analysis
Identify and prioritize process improvement projects - lean manufacturing, engineering economic analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical methods, six sigma and time studies
Facilitate system integration - Value Stream Analysis, Facility Layouts, Production Systems Design, Manufacturing Process Design, Systems Thinking, Facilities Planning, and Requirements
Main Responsibilities:
The hired candidate will execute a time-motion study directly on the field.
Perform time studies, make observations, and form opinions regarding issues identified, their cause, and possible solutions.
Through time studies, observations, or data analysis, gathers data to form opinions regarding issues identified, their cause, and possible solutions.
Performs analysis aimed at improving operations, determining hourly labor requirements, and developing planning standards. In addition, assists with analyses that are smaller subcomponents of larger more complex projects.
Provides input into the design for simple studies (and under the direction of the supervisor); plans study schedule, meets and trains hourly data collectors (when applicable) and ensures that data is being collected properly. Based on study observations, provides input to aid in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Manages the data input and organization of time study data collected.
Develops ad hoc queries and reporting needed for others/users to track and monitor operating performance. Updates and maintains existing databases and spreadsheet tables.
Gathers and manipulates large quantities of data into a format necessary for analysis.
