Marine & RV Underwriter II -- Remote | WFH

We are currently seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a role that involves originating and developing loans within the Marine and Recreational Vehicle (RV) industry. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the performance of our loan portfolios while maintaining high standards of quality, profitability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite direct and indirect loan requests, demonstrating expertise in lending practices and Marine/RV credit and finance.
  • Gather necessary financial and credit information to assess applicants' financial situations.
  • Assess risk and underwrite complex Marine and RV transactions, thoroughly documenting decisions.
  • Manage a portfolio of dealer and broker clients nationwide, ensuring performance metrics are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Recreational Lending products.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist in training as needed.
  • Stay informed about competitive changes in the Marine and RV industries.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients, including effective communication and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional bank products to clients.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in indirect/direct credit underwriting and/or management in the Marine and RV industry.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and review.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred

  • Direct/indirect lending experience in the Marine and/or RV industry.
  • Knowledge of Marine and/or RV industry.
  • Familiarity with Marine Surveys.
  • Understanding of bank operations, compliance, and regulatory issues.
  • Completion or enrollment in a management or career development program.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work in a remote environment.
  • Availability to work scheduled hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Minimal travel may be required (up to 10%).
