Intern – Marketing

The marketing intern will coordinate and support marketing activities for the marketing department and support other departments/affiliates in support of GBA. This position requires a basic understanding of marketing strategy and implementation of marketing tactics including copyediting, event support, data entry/management, research, and support proposal efforts. ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of marketing materials including the preparation of proposals, qualification packages, interview materials, brochures and other collateral materials.
• Gather project and personnel descriptions and photography/images for proposal submissions and update database (CRM – Cosential)
• Assist in activities for trade show and events, including staff participation, sponsorship, coordination of giveaways, brochures and supporting entertainment
• Support corporate communications team with internal or external communications, social media, The Grid, and newsletters/e-blasts, etc
• Prepare, including writing, proofreading, and editing award submissions
• Ensure all marketing materials are coordinated with corporate marketing and adhere to brand standards
• Additional marketing, communications, CRM and event tasks as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Working towards a marketing, communications, journalism or business degree (related experience if graduated)
• Familiarity with a variety of software programs, such as Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Database or CRM familiarity or experience is a plus
• Ability to write and edit marketing copy
• Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
• Positive attitude and timely response to feedback and employee requests
• Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
• Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail
• Verbal and written communication skills
