Marketing Senior Specialist

The marketing team contributes to accomplishing this goal through increased brand awareness and an impact on firm growth.

Job Duties:

Summary: The Marketing Senior Specialist will both provide project management for the global marketing team and drive awareness of Credera through managing award announcements, press releases, sales enablement materials, and executive events. This is a collaborative position that requires organization, strategic planning, and clear and effective communication. This position requires leadership skills and an interest in learning and coordinating a wide variety of marketing functions. The best fit will be a friendly, versatile, detail-oriented, and eloquent individual who is eager to learn and join a growing team.

Goals and responsibilities: The Marketing Senior Specialist's goals are to provide structure and efficiency for internal marketing team management and to oversee various external marketing needs. To realize these goals, this role is responsible for:

  • Leading and ever-improving our global team project management, including running meetings according to agendas, keeping up-to-date marketing reference documents, updating project calendars and priorities, and budget-tracking (40%)
  • Strengthening and building our global brand externally through managing our implementation of PR activities and press releases, award entries and blog posts, sales enablement materials, and strategic events (60%)

Project management and budget duties include:

  • Lead meeting structure and project management skills for effective collaboration globally, both within marketing and with cross-functional teams
  • Oversee meeting action items and take initiative to support execution as needed
  • Maintain accurate marketing and company data for reference across the firm
  • Manage ongoing marketing budget tracking, saving marketing credit card receipts and submitting all marketing vendor invoices to Finance
  • Complete month-end coding for Finance and reconcile with marketing budget tracking

Public relations (PR) duties include:

  • Maintain positive relationships with our PR agency manager, journalists, external editor, and internal subject matter experts (SMEs)
    • Communicate our PR strategies to our PR agency quarterly
  • Respond to press inquiries, prioritize worthy opportunities, and coordinate relevant SME interviews
    • Manage press release calendar and follow up with writers, contributors, editors, and PR agency team
  • Upload error-free and on-time final press releases to the newswire
    • Monitor and report findings and/or recommendations for improved audience reach and engagement
  • Manage invoice submissions for our press release platform vendor
Award entry and blog duties include:

  • Submit annual applications for two major award programs, including sending all-company employee surveys and supporting contract negotiation
  • Write blogs for each award won, manage reviews, and upload to Contentful (~18-22 blogs per year)

Sales Enablement creation duties include:

  • Planning and development of sales enablement materials as needed by our sales leads.
  • Ongoing tracking and updating of all sales materials.

Events duties include:

  • Plan, execute, and/or serve as the marketing liaison to execute market events that support Credera's brand and business development (e.g., local AI events for executives)
  • Coordinate logistics, invitations and RSVPs, communications, content, budget tracking, and/or branded swag materials for events as needed
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for branded swag (e.g., for client events or annual Chicago Top Workplaces award) and facilitate orders with our preferred vendor

Other marketing team duties include:

  • Collaborate with in-house marketing teams (content development, digital marketing, etc.)
  • Support internal brand awareness, social marketing, and thought leadership development
  • Support other ad hoc duties as the team grows and opportunities arise

Qualifications:

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate across the marketing team, internal stakeholders, and our public relations partner
  • Interest in strategic writing, brand amplification, and/or effective PR campaigns
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities

Ideal knowledge and skills:

  • Accomplished writing for varied target audiences, especially executives
  • Experience working with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Contentful)
  • Experience and/or understanding of other marketing strategies (e.g., content-driven marketing, brand vs. performance marketing)

Education and experience:

  • Education level: Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience level: 3-5 years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or business administration

Physical requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Consistent use of hands and fingers to operate a mouse and keyboard
  • Occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop and kneel
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
