Job Summary

As the Packaging Development and Quality Assurance Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in our food manufacturing facility's packaging department. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around driving innovation through the development of new packaging items while ensuring uncompromising quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• New Item Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop new packaging solutions for our food products. This involves conducting feasibility studies, prototyping, and scaling up for production.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures for packaging materials and processes. Perform regular quality checks, inspections, and tests to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and product specifications.
• Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for enhancement in packaging techniques, materials, and machinery to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product integrity.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of tests, evaluations, and experiments conducted during the development and testing phase. Generate comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations for improvements.
• Supplier Relations: Collaborate with suppliers to source new packaging materials, evaluate their suitability, negotiate pricing, and manage relationships to ensure consistent quality and supply chain reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• Proven experience (3 years) in packaging development and quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of packaging materials, design principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
